Consulting Fundamentals

Consulting Fundamentals are divided and delivered in two parts:

Resume / Career Fundamentals: In this part, our Industry Professionals help you prepare your resume and yourself for the career of your dreams! This segment is delivered the week of September 29th and prepares some of our Learners to attend the Community Summit event with us in Orlando FL in mid-October. This segment is delivered Live and In-Person.

Project & Delivery Management: In this segment, we introduce you to what it is like to work on a project or delivery team. This is what will set you apart from all of the other applicants in the industry. This part is delivered November 10 – 20, Live and In-Person

Microsoft Fundamentals

The Microsoft Fundamentals are taught through our partnership with LinkedIN Learning’s Self-Study. We have extended some of the Consulting Fundamentals Content to support the Microsoft Fundaments.

The Microsoft Fundamentals will be divided and delivered in two parts:

Part 1, the Basics: This is the information you “need to know” in order to consider a career in this industry. The Basics are delivered the week of July 21 and are delivered via Self-Study. But it is critical that you complete this content prior to the beginning of the CE / Power Platform Track since much of it is referenced in that track.

Part 2, Office Suite: These are the Applications in the Microsoft Office Suite that you will need to use to create your Projects, to perform homework and Labs throughout the Courses and just to perform in a job in general when you leave the Program.

Financial Literacy

To meet the requirements of the Minnesota Department of Education and Economic Development Grant Guidelines, we were asked to provide Financial Literacy education to all participants of our Programs in the following areas:

Household Budgeting

Saving

Making Good Decisions about Education

Retirement Planning

Homeownership

Wealth Building

This track will launch as a Self-Study Learning Module on the LinkedIN Learning Platform December 8-11.

Certification Track (PL-900, PL-200, MB-910)

CE / Power Platform
Generative AI

The CE / Power Platform and Generative AI Track is taught Live and In-Person by a variety of expert Industry Professionals and is supported by working Industry Training Assistants and Learner Success Managers. This year, we have incorporated Generative AI and Copilot coursework into the Syllabus.

Additionally, we introduce you to the Apps and Modules most traditionally used as focus-areas in the Industry – Sales, Customer Services, Marketing / Customer Insights, Field Service, Project Operations, OmniChannel. This can help you refine your areas of interest when planning your career.

The CE / Power Platform / Gen AI Track Launches on July 28 then breaks briefly for Labor Day

We reconvene on September 3, wrapping up with our In-Person Training sessions on September 18. We follow this up with approximately two weeks of Self-Study & Lab Work before assigning the Capstone Project

Certification Track (PL-300)

Power BI Data Analyst

The Power BI Data Analyst Track is taught Live and In-Person by Jessica Jolly, an expert Data Quilter specializing in Microsoft Fabric. She is supported by two Training Assistants and Learner Success Managers, Wilson Man and Mike Ford.

This “Triple Threat” is responsible for ensuring our first group of Power BI Graduates in 2024 successfully completed the Program. This year, Wilson and Mike will add an Advanced Excel course to the Syllabus and Frederick Anaafi, MVP, will join us Virtually from Ghana to introduce us to Power BI.

For the last two days of the Course, Jessica plans to turn things over to XX to lead two, half day sessions on Paginated Reports – just so you don’t get bored with her!

The Power BI Track Launches on December 15 then breaks for the Christmas and New Year Holiday.

We reconvene on January 12 for 4 days of In-Person sessions. The second week commences as a full 5 days of sessions January 19-January 23, In-Person.

The final week of the Power BI Track will be facilitated Live-Virtually on January 26-January 28 and will include preparation for and assignment of your Capstone Project.
